See below if we have already an answer to your question:
- What photography experience is required to participate?
You don't need to have any experience. You just have to enjoy photography, nature and traveling. Zé Paiva will give tips and guidance for all levels of knowledge.
- What minimum equipment do I need to participate? Can I use my cell phone camera?
Yes, you can use your cell phone, but if you have a camera (or even a cell phone) with shutter and aperture controls, you will benefit more from the tips you receive during the expeditions.
- Can I bring a companion who does not take photos?
Yes, you can. On most expeditions, we have a price for companions who want to participate in the tours and another price for companions who will only use the accommodations. Just ask us and we will give you the price.
- In the event of bad weather, will the trip be canceled and the payment refunded?
Trips are not usually canceled due to weather conditions unless they pose a risk to the travelers. The first reason is that they are planned months in advance. Everyone has already bought their tickets and paid for the hotel in advance to guarantee their reservations. The second reason is that even in cloudy or rainy weather we can take excellent photographs. On the other hand, there is always the possibility that the sky will open at the most unpredictable moment. And even if the weather does not clear, Zé Paiva shows in practice that for photography there is no such thing as bad weather, only different “climates”.
- What is the level of the trails/hikes?
The trails on our expeditions are always easy or moderate. Normally the trails are no more than 7 kilometers long (round trip) and without obstacles of high difficulty. The main focus is always the photography, and not the trail. Even so, it is important that you have some experience hiking on trails and that you are not leading a sedentary lifestyle, to be able to enjoy the hikes with greater peace of mind.
